How many people can play?
From 2 to 8 players. The phone sits in the middle of the table, so everyone needs to be able to reach it.
Can we play on an iPad?
Yes. Starting with version 1.1, TapTime is built for iPad and iPhone Duo too. The board grows on the bigger screen and stretches wide when you turn it sideways. If you bought Pro on your phone, tap the gear on the start screen on the iPad, then “Restore purchases.” The iPad has to be signed in with the same Apple Account, or be part of the same Family Sharing group.
Someone tapped the wrong letter
Tap Pause under the clock, then “Undo B” (or whichever letter it was). The letter is free again, and the player who tapped it gets the turn back with a full clock. Only the last tap can be undone.
Who decides if a word counts?
You do. The word has to fit the category, and no word can be said twice in a round. The app doesn’t check the words. If you disagree, tap Pause and talk it over. For a name or title with more than one word, the first letter you say counts: “Michael Jackson” is M, but “Jackson” alone is J.
What happens when every letter is used?
All the letters become free again, and the round goes on.
How do I change the language?
Tap the gear on the start screen and choose English or Norsk under Language. Automatic uses your phone’s language. The cards switch language too. Your own cards stay as you wrote them.
I bought Pro, but the cards are still locked
Tap the gear on the start screen, then “Restore purchases.” Your phone has to be signed in with the Apple Account that was used to buy Pro, or be part of the same Family Sharing group.
Can the rest of my family use the purchase?
Yes. TapTime Pro supports Family Sharing, so one purchase covers everyone in your family group (up to six people).
How do I share my own cards?
Open My cards in the setup and tap “Share cards.” The other person can scan the QR code with their camera, or you can send a link. They need TapTime installed, and they need Pro to add the cards.
Where are my own cards?
They’re only on the phone where you made them. If you switch phones, they come along when you transfer from your old phone or from a backup. If you delete the app, the cards are deleted. To get them onto another phone, just share them.
A card doesn’t work well
Write to us and tell us which card it is, and we’ll look at it for the next version.
